Brazilian Air Force brings equipment to Guinea-Bissau

afrol News / A Semana, 7 July - On Thursday afternoon, Brazil sent ten metric tons of equipment to Guinea-Bissau for the professional training center being set up in the country’s capital, Bissau. This is the third flight to Africa the Brazilian Air Force plane has carried out since April, when 12 metric tons of donations were sent to Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde.

Most of the first shipment had Guinea-Bissau as its destiny and included army uniforms and anti-retroviral medication used to combat the HIV virus. The flight also carried basic pharmacy kits containing antibiotic and anti-inflammatory drugs, 40 computers donated by the Brazilian Supreme Court of Justice and equipment for the professional training center.

The Hércules C-130’s second flight took place in mid-June, and also carried equipment, including a generator, for Bissau’s professional training center.

The project for Guinea-Bissau’s professional training center was developed by the Brazilian Cooperation Agency, which is linked to the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in partnership with Brazil’s National Industrial Apprenticeship Service (Senai).
