TACV predicts “normal” summer, with God’s help

afrol News / A Semana, 11 July - TACV Cabo Verde Airlines believes it will be able to handle the major influx of vacationing émigrés and tourists who will make their way to Cape Verde during the season, and guarantees it has resolved the problems resulting from mechanical difficulties in one of its long-haul aircrafts, which was held up in the Canary Islands for a number of days.

The problem, according to TACV’s commercial director, Raul Andrade, resulted in a certain degree of constraint in the company’s ability to carry passengers to and from Cape Verde, but the situation has already been “normalized.”

Andrade predicts a “normal” summer for TACV’s passengers, but also said that, in the commercial aviation business, “anything can happen.” As such, Andrade affirmed he has asked for “God’s help” to ensure that operations run as efficiently as possible and to keep unforeseen complications to a minimum.

As is nearly always the case at this time of year, Cape Verde’s international airports have begun to see an increase in passenger traffic. The traffic is expected to grow further as the summer wears on.
