Zimbabwe Politics | Society | Human rights ICG alerts coup in Zimbabwe afrol News, 21 May - The Brussels-based International Crisis Group has released a report expressing concern over violence in Zimbabwe, fearing it could escalate and lead to a military coup or martial law unless African and other international leaders help negotiate a government of national unity led by Morgan Tsvangirai, the leader of the oppositin Movement for Democratic Change.The report dubbed "Negotiating Zimbabwe’s Transition" accused hardliners in President Robert Mugabe’s ruling ZANU-PF party, including senior military leaders, of trying to retain power by force.
