afrol News, 9 April - As the Catholics struggle with paedophilia scandals, and the Anglicans have an open north-south conflict over homosexuality, African Lutheran churches now threaten divorce with their European partners if the latter continue to perform same-sex weddings.

Homophobia divides Africa
afrol News, 23 March - Homophobic laws in Uganda and an anti-gay court case in Malawi are only two current examples demonstrating a conservative wave regarding sexual minorities in Africa. But in other countries, in particular South Africa, gays and lesbians are enjoying increased freedom.

afrol News, 2 March - Ugandan rights activists have pleaded with the parliament on Monday to reject an anti-gay bill which pronounces harsh punishment for people who would be caught practicing homosexuality.
