afrol News, 28 February - The North African pro-democracy protest movement has reached the refugee camps of the Sahrawi people. The "Revolutionary Youth" on Saturday will demand reform from its 35-year-old government.

Tunisia govt improves rights situation

afrol News, 5 February - The interim government in post-revolutionary Tunisia finally is taking action to address the much criticised police brutality and lack of respect for basic rights. The Interior Ministry is to be totally reformed.

afrol News, 10 December - Mozambique is becoming a major narcotics transit point in Africa, with US diplomatic sources pointing at two of country's main businessmen as drug barons. Both are protected by the President.

Little US trust in Moroccan army

afrol News, 3 December - The US embassy in Rabat puts little trust in the Moroccan armed forces. Corruption "at the highest levels" limits the army's efficiency, while the King's distrust in the army halts direct US contacts.
