Lesotho steps up child protection measures

afrol News, 2 May - As part of Lesotho's initiative to curb the escalating child abuse, the Maseru Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in collaboration with other partners launched the Child Helpline in Maseru earlier this week. The facility which would be housed at Lesotho Save the Children, would enable children to report all forms of abuse and encourage children to raise their views.

ICC unseals DRC warrant

afrol News, 29 April - The International Criminal Court [ICC] has unsealed an arrest warrant against Mr Bosco Ntanganda, a former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Forces Patriotiques pour la Libération du Congo [FPLC], and current alleged Chief of Staff of the Congrès national pour la défense du people [CNDP] armed group, active in North Kivu in the Democratic Republic of Congo [DRC].
