Conservation Online, a project of the Preservation Department of Stanford University Libraries, is a full text library of conservation information, covering a wide spectrum of topics of interest to those involved with the conservation of library, archives and museum materials

NINA-NIKU is the Norwegian Foundation for Nature Research and Cultural Heritage Research. It has a daily updated page with all information about that's happening in the Norwegian conservation ambient: news, conferences, their annual rapports and publications. English and  Norwegian version.

MoMA, Museo of Modern Art has a special and surprising  Conservation Page. They do an introduction to the conservation world and tell us about the conservation department al the museum. But the most interesting of this page is the history of the conservation process of Monet's Water Lilies and an interview to the chief conservator of MoMA about Pollock and his technique, work and conservation.

The International Network on Cultural Policy  is currently composed of 38 countries, and is evidence of a growing interest in preserving local and national cultures. Some African countries like Cameroon, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Morocco and south Africa are here.

ITI, The International Theatre Institute is a  ), an international non-governmental organization (NGO) was founded  by UNESCO and the international theatre community. The ITI has information about  national centres in approximately 90 countries. A lot of them are African countries.

The Food Museum  has a list of several food staples from tropical and temperate climates, with basic lexical information. Well organized, but basic information. They are still working on it, it may seem.

Online Chef is a well organized website with lots of recipes, among images and explains. 

African Recipes - The Congo Cookbook - has a large variety of African recipes, presented in a very delicate way for the American/European reader. This is a perfect place to start if you want to learn something about African cooking and read some interesting features asides. Well organized, and you can look up recipes by region or ingredient.

Edward Munch Museum, in Oslo, contains all the works of art left by the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch, to the City of Oslo. Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, has his own website with links to his headquarters: Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, (English, Spanish, French, Basque), Peggy Guggenheim Collection Venice and  Deutsche Guggenheim Berlin. Information about his history, their collections, exhibitions, projects, buildings and much more.

Museo del Prado, Madrid,  has own website with information about his collection of European antique painting and classic sculpture, exhibitions and activities, among offers links with other cultural sites of interest. The museum contains works of European painters like Velázquez, Goya, El Greco, Rubens, Tiziano, Hieronymus Bosch, Rembrandt, etc.  English and Spanish

Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid, situated at the Villahermosa palace, contains 800 masterpieces of painting, XIII-XX centuries. The website offers a lot of information about the collection and activities. It's available too in Spanish.

Musée du Louvre, Paris, one of the most important museums for western culture, has a website and  it offers you a short history about the building and explain the organization of the collections. It contains a lot of the most important masterpiece from  Europe and some from Asia and Africa, to 19th. English. 

Musée d'Orsay, Paris, has a page with only basic information. French art from 1848 to 1914. English.

Centre Georges Pompidou, Musée National d'Art Moderne, Paris,  offers general information. English.

Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais, in Paris, have a website only with general information.

MoMA, The Museum of Modern Art, offers in his website all information about his events, programs, collection, press releases and an overview of modern art. 

In the site of the Britain  Tate Modern you'll find all information about  the Tate's collection of international modern art from 1900 to the present day, including major works by Bacon, Dalí, Picasso, Matisse, Rothko and Warhol as well as contemporary work.

The British Museum has a website with a lot of information about their activities and the collection, one of the best from all over the world.

The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is the largest museum of decorative arts in the world. 145 galleries contain some of the world's greatest arts collections. It has among an interesting website, not only with rudimentary information.

Museum of Modern Art Oxford offers a well website with interesting information. It is internationally acclaimed centre for the display of modern and contemporary art - sculpture, painting, installation, photography, film, video, design.

The State Hermitage Museum, in St Petersburg offers in his website a summary of his collections of works of art (over 3,000,000 items) from the Stone Age to the 20th century. Russian version, too.

The Nok Museum of African Arts is an internet based museum. The museum will maintain an electronic collection of works held by other museums and private collectors. Good website. Recommended!

African/Edenic Heritage Museum, in Washington, has his own website, but it doesn't have too much information.

Ägyptisches Museum und Papyrussammlung, the Egyptian Museum in Berlin has a large collection of Egyptian masterpieces and a website with some information, but only in German.

Museum and Gallery Borghese, in Roma, contains a important collection of ancient sculptures, bas-reliefs and mosaics, as well as paintings and sculptures from XVth to XVIIIth century. In his website is possible to learn some about the history of some masterpieces of  Italian and European art. In Italian version, too.

The Uffizi Gallery, founded in Florence in 1581, by the De Medici family, is one of the oldest museums in the world. The Web guide contains pictures, comments, biographies and a glossary of artistic movements and techniques.
