Cameroon’s Etinde permit gets possible farm-in deal
afrol News - The Vitol Group, has announced that it has entered into a farm-in agreement with Bowleven, the African focused oil and gas company, in respect of the Etinde Permit (Etinde, Cameroon). afrol News - The International Monetary foundation (IMF) in September 1999 assessed Cameroon's economic and financial performance to have "a good record of performance under the first annual ESAF program continued under the second, despite the adverse impact of a sharp deterioration in the terms of trade in the first half of 1998/99. Almost all quantitative and structural performance criteria and benchmarks for the year were met. Real GDP growth for 1998/99 was revised downward from 5 1/4% to 4½ %, and the annual average national consumer price inflation was contained at 2.9 %."
