Comoros must strengthen donor and debt position, IMF

afrol News, 17 November - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has welcomed the Comoros participation in Paris Club debt restructuring negotiations to be held on 19 November, saying the country needs to consolidate its financial position to fill in the fiscal gap in the next financial year.

IMF approves $21.5 million for Comoros

afrol News, 22 September - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved a three-year, US$21.5 million arrangement under the Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility (PRGF) for the Union of the Comoros to support the authorities’ economic programme aimed at promoting sustained strong growth to achieve deeper gains in poverty alleviation and faster progress towards the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
