afrol News, 9 July - Ignacio Milam Tang, until now Equatoguinean Ambassador in Spain, has been named new Prime Minister of Equatorial Guinea, according to government sources in Malabo. He replaces what the President has called the "worst government ever" in the country.

afrol News, 20 June - The trial of Briton Simon Mann, who admitted in court he was part of an alleged 2004 plot to overthrow the dictator of Equatorial Guinea, was expected to conclude today in Malabo. However, a ruling is now expected early next week.

afrol News, 3 June - GEPetrol, the national oil company of Equatorial Guinea controlled by the family circle of Prsident Obiang, has completed the buy-out of all assets so far held by Devon Energy in the country. GEPetrol spent US$ 2.2 billion on the expansion.

afrol News, 21 May - Both the Electoral Commission and the Constitutional Court of Equatorial Guinea have confirmed a 99 percent election victory by the ruling party of Dictator Teodoro Obiang Nguema. The opposition and observers hold the ruling party stole the 4 May election, as in previous occasions.
