Health Togo bans Ghana chickens
afrol News, 11 May - Ghana’s chicken exportation has been hampered by the discovery of H5N1 bird flu in one of the poultry farms in the country last month. Officials in Ghana’s neighbouring country, Togo have banned importation of chicken products from Ghana.

Economy - Development Benin, Nigeria, Togo power connection launched
afrol News, 16 February - Benin, Togo and Nigeria yesterday inaugurated a power cable linking the three countries' national grids and aimed at improving the insufficient electricity infrastructure in West Africa. Nigeria will increase its power exports and is expected to generate annual revenues of about US$ 14.4 million from the power interconnection.

Media Togo radio suspended for "unprofessional conduct"
afrol News, 11 January - A media regulator in Togo, Haute Autorité de l'Audiovisuel de la Communication (HAAC), has suspended the privately-owned 'Radio Victoire' for 15 days for alleged "unprofessional conduct". 'Radio Victoire', which broadcasts in the capital Lomé, is to resume operations on 23 January.

afrol News, 22 December - The European Union (EU) has granted Togo euro 14.6 million to finance the reception and reintegration of the Togolese refugees in neighbouring countries that were fleeing the violence during last year's elections. The EU has withheld development aid and major funding for Togolese projects for over a decade due to a repressive government.
