Missing aircraft crash in Congo

afrol News, 2 September - A missing humanitarian plane has been found to have crashed in the mountains of eastern Democratic Republic of Congo this morning.

Officials have reported that, they are still blank if there are any survivors, as a rescue mission had not yet been able to land at the scene.

Small plane is believed to have carried 17 passengers, and amongst them reported missing UN mission crew in DRC, United Nations officials reported.

On Monday, small plane was on its way from Kisangani to Bukavu, when it lost contact with ground control as it approached landing ground.

Investigations are still on process to recover any survivors, establish cause of plane crash and identity of victims.
