The Guinea Connection

More than ten years ago, Equatorial Guinea turned into what they in French call the "PLAQUE TOURNANTE" of DRUG TRAFFICKING in Central Africa. I have no idea why this has not been denounced at an earlier stage. But yes - all these incidents and past happenings fare well known to both the opposition parties and the State Department of the United States.

Who are the leaders?
[President] Obiang Nguema Mbazogo, his brother Armengol Ondo Nguema and the son of Obiang, Teodorín, "El Patrón".

How does it work?
1. -From Malabo, small boats go and get it on the high seas, to later store it on land and from Bata, the come boats directly to the quays of the port of Bata. Both in Malabo and in Bata, one knows when there is an unloading as all the right hands of Obiang are in the port to interfere with any possible customs control, and you'll hear it being said things like: "this one you can't touch, it's for the Boss," or "this one has a direct line, you can't touch it, it's for the Boss," "don't touch, it's for the Boss" - this you'll always hear when there is goods arriving.

How is it distributed?
The big quantities (industrial) are distributed in Europe, especially in Spain, through the shipments of timber (EXFOSA [company]) and of cocoa-coffee (CASA MALLO and APRA). The small quantities are distributed through the journeys of the Misters:
1.- Miguel OYONO NDONG- Minister of Foreign Affairs
2.- Alejandro EVUNA OWONO- Minister responsible for the Missions of the Republic's Presidency
3.- Lucas NGUEMA ESONO- Minister of Youth and Sports
4.- Juan OLO MBA NSENG- Minister of Mining

Bases for Storage and Distribution
* Spain: Madrid - Santiago NSOBEYA - Ambassador; Las Palmas - Marcos BICO EWORO - Consul; Barcelona - Office for the Promotion of  Tourism of Equatorial Guinea.
* France: Paris- Lino SIMA EKUAGA - Ambassador
* Belgium: Brussels - José ENEME CHELE - First Secretary
* USA: New York- Teodoro NSUE BIYOGO - First Secretary
* China-Hong Kong-North Korea: Florencio MAYE ELA, Ambassador

Africa
Cameroon:
Santiago ENEME OVONO - Alandi - Ambassador, Douala- Juan BIYOGO - Consul;
Libreville/Gabon: José ELA EBANG- Ambassador;
Morocco: Eduardo NDONG ELÓ- Ambassador.

In the majority of the instances, and always for the small quantities, one has used the DIPLOMATIC CORPS. On more than one occasion, we had large discussions in the inter-ministry meeting about this aspect and/or instance. We were never given attention, on the contrary, we were named oppositional in the executive of government, which for me and my colleague Elías OVONO NGUEMA meant being given the nicknames of REBEL MINISTERS, because, really, we were asking questions about any issue and never receiving adequate answers, but we never gave in.

* VERY IMPORTANT: The big quantities of drugs were also transported in the household goods of Mr. Obiang going abroad. How do we know? Well, when you are on the airport to se off the President, who is leaving for Paris on one of his many annual journeys, and with a stay of only 3 days, according to the State Protocol of the Presidency, they are loading almost forty suitcases on the airplane hired for the occasion, we asked ourselves why one carries forty bags for a visit of only 3 days. Well, to get sure, we approached one of the servants of the Boss, the one who is most confident with us, it never fails, and we asked him our question. He told us, without thinking twice: "Do you think it is clothes that the Boss is carrying on his journeys? He, the Nkukuma (Boss), carries tons of drugs "(Okirah in Fang)" to sell it or give it away, he, his wife and his son Teodorín. That's what they do on each journey abroad, and we are tired, because they have their pockets full and we have bread and water".

Anybody can verify this information , it only takes to give some bank notes to any of the servants of Obiang, and you'll have or obtain any kind of information.

What happened to one of Obiang's servants in January 1991? Well, as it happened, this servant, by the name of Jesús ESON, found COCAINE and much foreign money in one of Obiang's wardrobes, and the boy didn't loose time, he robbed it, and on DAY later the deed was discovered. Later he was fired, but put to prison.

* Obiang says he knows nothing of drugs. It might be the truth, but what usually happens? What happens is that when one of his emissaries is detained with drugs and he does not reveal anything, nor mentions the name of Obiang, he always has been rewarded with a public post. Examples:

LUKITO, detained in Madrid with drugs. He was First Secretary of the Embassy and on his return to Malabo, he was named Secretary-General of the Ministry of Information and Tourism.

Alejandro EVUNA OWONO ASANGONO, ex-ambassador in Madrid, was detained for drug trafficking. When he came back to Guinea, he was named Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, later Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Government, and presently State Minister charged with the Missions of the Presidency.

Pedro ELA NGUEMA BUNA, First Secretary of the Embassy in Madrid is detained with drugs and today he is Director of Consular Affairs.

Pedro EDJANG MBA MEDJA, ex-ambassador in Paris is detained with drugs and today he is Secretary-General in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Carmelo NVONO NKA, ex-ambassador to the UN, presently Secretary-General in the Ministry of Labour.

* In the majority of the cases, Obiang always intervened to achieve their liberation. Other recent cases are:

- In Brasil, Mrs. Corona ENEME is detained, and a week later, her husband Lino SIMA EKUA is named Ambassador in Paris.

- DELCO OBAMA, from chauffer to Third Secretary in the Embassy in Paris, today detained in Thailand. The one who sent him, well it was Teodorín.

In Madrid, Mr. NSOBEYA receives a packet of drugs, but imputes it to one of his nephews. Ask also NSOBEYA why Frank sits in prison. And the multiple journeys of his wife to Nigeria, for what reason are they?

Today, they are blaming me for drug trafficking, when, in reality, one has used my journey to Pakistan to get rid of me. Mister Nsobeya, one remembers when You talked to me on the phone from my hotel room with Mister Chapnam, one of the partners of Mr. Sharif, about that, in the case of emergency I would get help. Mister Nsobeya, what did You do at the airport, watching as the police questioned me, and why did You not intervene, being it only for me being a Guinean or for the post of minister I was filling? Well, to conclude, it is already known how you and Obiang have organised this operation. I trust in the correctness of the Spanish judicial, which will see to look into all aspects of this case. However, I would have preferred a public debate with Mr. Nsobeya. Sooner or later, one will know the TRUTH.
