It is an Internet project to explore the East-African anthropology and presents lots of historical and anthropological information about Zanzibar in a beautiful and logic way. Zanzibar Art (on Zanzibar Travel Network) is a local, web site, very informative, about art on Zanzibar. It mainly presents some local artists (photography, paintings, etc.). Zanzibar: Menus & Recipes from Africa (by the University of Pennsylvania) has an ample list of Zanzibar recipes and an introduction to the island's gastronomy.

The Spanish spoken website of the Basque publishing house Ikuska has pages on all African countries with relatively good statistical data and fuller information on ethnic groups. Infoplease.com contains a page about Tanzania with basic data of the country: history, geography, etc. The International Crisis Group is a organisation with special interest in Africa. In its page about Central Africa you'll find lots of reports about the general situation in Tanzania and other countries.
