- Officials of Zimbabwe's main opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) have been shocked with the murder of the party's election agent in the northwestern constituency of Harungwe West.
The MDC officials accused militants of the ruling Zanu-PF party of stabbing Tapiwa Mubwanda to death at the weekend.
Mr Mubwanda represented the opposition party in Harunge West constituency in the 29 March elections.
Over 20 ruling party militants were believed to have attacked the deceased in his home on Saturday night.
A brother to Mubwanda, Lainos Mubwanda, who was also attacked has been in serious conditions at the hospital.
Zimbabwean police, who confirmed the incident, would not agree on opposition side of the story. The police said Mubwanda's murder resulted after he had misunderstanding with three people.
